Lars obtained his BSc from the University of Groningen (UG) with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Philosophy. He is currently enrolled in a 2-year research MSc program at the University Medical Center Groningen/UG. Within this program, he decided to perform an internship in the LaCava group at Rockefeller University to study the endogenous LINE-1 interactome. His interests cover (but are not limited to) evolution, cancer sciences, biochemistry, proteomics and molecular biology, which al come together in LINE-1 research. He is currently continuing his project in Groningen.
